Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy outlines acceptable usage limits and guidelines for all SkyRainCloud services. This policy is designed to ensure optimal performance and availability for all customers while preventing abuse and resource monopolization. By using our services, you agree to comply with this Fair Use Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.

All hosting plans include allocated resources (CPU, RAM, Disk I/O, Bandwidth). While we advertise "unlimited" or "unmetered" features, these are subject to fair use: CPU Usage: - Sustained high CPU usage (>80% for extended periods) may trigger investigation - CPU-intensive processes should not monopolize server resources - Cryptocurrency mining, brute-force attacks, or similar activities are strictly prohibited RAM Usage: - Memory usage should remain within allocated limits - Memory leaks or inefficient applications may be flagged Disk I/O: - Excessive read/write operations that degrade server performance are not permitted - Backup operations should be scheduled during off-peak hours when possible Bandwidth: - "Unmetered" bandwidth is for legitimate website/application traffic only - Using services for file distribution, torrenting, or proxy services is prohibited

The following activities are strictly forbidden and may result in immediate suspension: - Cryptocurrency Mining: Mining Bitcoin, Ethereum, or any cryptocurrency - DDoS Attacks: Launching or participating in distributed denial-of-service attacks - Spam: Sending unsolicited bulk emails or hosting spam-related content - Illegal Content: Hosting pirated software, copyrighted material, or illegal content - Proxy/VPN Abuse: Operating public proxies or VPN exit nodes without authorization - Resource Reselling: Reselling allocated resources without a reseller agreement - Malicious Software: Hosting malware, viruses, or phishing sites

Game hosting services are optimized for gameplay and have specific fair use guidelines: Unlimited Storage Policy: All game hosting plans include truly unlimited disk storage (8) with no hard caps. This means you can store as much data as your server needs without worrying about hitting storage limits. However, this feature is designed for legitimate game server use and must comply with fair use principles: What's Allowed: - Game world files, maps, and terrain data - Plugins, mods, datapacks, and resource packs - Server configurations and settings - Automated backups (up to 7 days recommended) - Player data and statistics - Custom textures and assets related to your game Fair Use Guidelines: - Most servers typically use 10-50GB of storage for normal operation - Storage exceeding 100GB per server may be reviewed to ensure compliance - Excessive backups (keeping months of daily backups) should be managed responsibly - If you need >100GB, that's fine! Just ensure it's for legitimate game server purposes What's Not Allowed: - Using game servers as general file hosting or cloud storage - Storing personal media libraries (movies, music, photos) - Backing up non-game-related systems or websites - Reselling storage space to third parties - Hosting content unrelated to your game server We're Here to Help: If your legitimate server usage requires significant storage, contact our support team. General Server Guidelines: - Servers must be used for their intended game (e.g., Minecraft servers for Minecraft only) - Excessive plugin usage that degrades performance may be restricted - Automated farming, botting, or exploit abuse is prohibited - Server modifications that bypass resource limits are not allowed - Cracked/pirated game server software is strictly forbidden

VPS and Dedicated servers have more flexibility but must still adhere to fair use: - Services should not negatively impact other customers on shared infrastructure - Network abuse (port scanning, DDoS, spam) is prohibited - Excessive outbound connections may be rate-limited - Adult content hosting requires prior approval and compliance with legal regulations - Tor exit nodes and similar high-risk services are not permitted

SkyRainCloud actively monitors resource usage to ensure fair distribution: - Automated systems track CPU, RAM, disk I/O, and bandwidth usage - Customers exceeding fair use limits will receive email notifications - Repeated violations may result in service throttling or suspension - We reserve the right to investigate unusual activity patterns - Customers will be given reasonable time to address issues before enforcement action

Violations of this Fair Use Policy may result in: First Offense: - Warning email with details of the violation - Request to reduce resource usage or remove prohibited content - 24-48 hour grace period to comply Second Offense: - Temporary service suspension (up to 24 hours) - Mandatory compliance before service restoration - Potential upgrade requirement to higher-tier plan Severe/Repeated Violations: - Immediate service termination without refund - Permanent account ban - Legal action for illegal activities - Reporting to relevant authorities if applicable

If your legitimate usage consistently exceeds fair use limits, we recommend upgrading: - Contact support to discuss your resource needs - We offer custom plans for high-resource applications - Dedicated servers provide maximum resource allocation - Enterprise solutions available for large-scale deployments

If you suspect another customer is violating this policy: - Email: abuse@skyraincloud.in - Include evidence (screenshots, logs, timestamps) - Reports are investigated confidentially - False reports may result in action against the reporter

SkyRainCloud reserves the right to update this Fair Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via: - Email notification to registered account holders - Announcement on our website and client area - Updates are effective immediately upon posting Continued use of services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
