Managing files through a web browser can sometimes be slow, especially when uploading large folders like maps, mods, or extensive plugin packages. Using an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client like FileZilla allows you to manage, upload, and download your Minecraft server files securely and at maximum speed. In this guide, we will show you how to configure FileZilla to connect to your SkyRainCloud server using SFTP.
Step-by-Step FTP Connection Guide
Follow these simple steps to link FileZilla with your game panel credentials:
Install FileZilla
Go to the official FileZilla Project website, download the FileZilla Client installer, and install it on your local device.
Access the Game Panel
Navigate to the SkyRainCloud server panel at gp.skyraincloud.in and select your Minecraft server from the active dashboard.
Locate SFTP Details
Go to the Settings tab from the sidebar menu in your server dashboard. Here, copy the **SFTP Address** (Host & Port) and the **Username** credentials provided.
Open the Site Manager
Open FileZilla on your computer. Click on the Open the Site Manager icon situated directly below the File menu in the upper-left corner of the interface.
Create a New Connection
In the Site Manager dialog, click the New Site button and name it (e.g., "SkyRain Minecraft"). Configure the connection properties as follows:
- Protocol: Choose
SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol. - Host: Paste the server SFTP Address host you copied earlier.
- Port: Enter the port number from the SFTP address (usually
2022). - Logon Type: Select
Normal. - User: Paste the copied SFTP username.
Connect to Server
Enter your account password in the Password field, then click the blue Connect button.
Note: Your SFTP password is the exact same password you use to log in to the SkyRainCloud server control panel!
🎉 Success! You are now connected! FileZilla will show your local computer files on the left and your Minecraft server files on the right. You can drag and drop folders directly to manage them.
